Bookings direct or on behalf
Once you have created the product and the agents that can sell them, the set up is complete and you are ready to take bookings. Bookings can be made in the following ways:
- They can be made by you as the vendor, for bookings that you take direct from customers
- OR on behalf of an Agent Company who might phone, fax or email a booking request
- Agents can also log on (if you have provided them with their passwords) and make bookings direct
When you make a booking on behalf you select the Agent Company from a drop down list before making the booking, otherwise it defaults to you as the vendor.
- Depending on your access level, you can
- apply discounts eg YHA cards, Senior Citizen or fixed rate
- Override the rack rate with a fixed price
- Select any options available for the product whether chargeable or not
A reference field allows any booking reference to be captured. It is also possible to record the nationality of the customer
where known.
